Booming Boise
When Kip and I were first dating, he took me to Sheridan to visit his family. When we went to Billings we ate at Fudruckers and I was hooked! When we went down to Tucson they had it too! I was amazed! Then Brian told us that they were building one in Boise, I didn't believe him of course because usually Boise doesn't have any of the good stuff! Within the year the first Fudruckers was built and in business and now there is one right by our house! It's great! And of course, has now lost it's appeal. Don't get me wrong it is still great! Another wonderful thing. Boise is getting SEPHORA! I am so excited about this. I can't believe it's taken so long for us to get one. I know we aren't a major city but we like Sephora here! I can't tell you how many people I have talked to that are so excited that Sephora is coming. Hopefully this week! But at the latest by the end of the month. It's going to be a lot harder for Sephora to lose it's appeal than Fudruckers.

Pull Up Your Pants
So I've decided that I need to say SOMETHING about teenage boys+jeans. I think this has been the saddest part of watching kids go through puberty. Apparently parents don't want to tell their kids that their pants don't fit because they are afraid to hurt an already vulnerable kid. As I drive home after work each day it never fails that I see one of the following:
a) a group of boys skateboarding. Each of them with a nice size shirt or hoodie on, and at least on hand on their pants holding them up while they scoot along with their other leg.
(I think that's why Skateboarding is such a popular sport for teenage boys, because you don't need your hands, so you can use them to hold your pants up! Perhaps there is some physics in skateboarding that I don't understand that requires big jeans?? Please enlighten me if this is true!)
b) a group of boys with pants so tight I can't look for fear I am going to see something rather disturbing. Perhaps they want to wear spandex, (trust me I understand) but they are afraid of being made fun of so they just wear pants that are five times to small but made of denim so they don't get made fun of. This is apparently an acceptable fashion?
c) the group of boys who are wearing the exact opposite of weather sensible clothing. For example: Shorts and flip flops in the snow or sweatshirts jeans and beanies in the summer heat.
Okay so I never see a boy with pants that fit him. Is it so much to ask that a young man has pants that actually fit up over his behind and stay there, and you can't actually see ALL the details of what's under them? I just feel like there has been a lack of sensibility in the latest fashion choices. Maybe boys want to be the opposite of fashion so it doesn't look like they're trying? I don't know but somewhere out there I know there is a parent who is surly capable of getting through to their teenage son about this topic? Perhaps I will revolutionize this concept when I have kids. I know you're all laughing because I'm going to have young boys wearing huge/smallish pants. I hope HOPE that is not the case!!
Let me know what you think about this!

A rough look at our life the last weekish!
Saturday: Drea and I went to the Scrapbooking store (LOVING IT) and spent money we shouldn't have spent. okay. Then we came home and Drea tried to make something for her wedding and I tried not to laugh at her when she was saying foul words to the table! Kyle came over and Kip and he played Drakes Fortune (or something) and Drea and I listened to the funny sound effects that Kyle makes while playing Playstation. Very Entertaining! Kip and I then went to a friends house, Terry & Amanda, and caught up with them and hung out for awhile. Then we went to Arby's ate in bed while watching the Arizona game on speed play. Sadly they had lost earlier that evening.
Sunday: We woke up (I woke up rather late) and we hung out playing Mario Galaxy on the Wii (a very fun game for anyone who was wondering. Around noon we got a call from Chad saying that they were at home and they were home with Jovan!! What great news! We were so happy for them. We wanted to take them dinner so that they would have something to heat up when they were hungry and didn't have to think about it. So we went over to their place and got to hang out with them and not have a nurse interupting us every ten minutes (no offense to you nurses out there). It was just really nice to get together and talk and hang out. When Jovan woke up to eat we got to see him and hold him! We were so excited!
After going to their house, we went out to dinner for my Dad's birthday. I think that he was turning 25 or something. Anyway! that was really fun, we went to Barbacoa. It is a newer restaurant in the area and it was so yummy!
Frasiers + Mario Galaxy Prentices + lack of sleep
as you can see we had a very productive day on Satuday! We hung out with Chad and Kica and Jovan! It was quite the day, Kica and I hung out with baby and scrapbooked! Chad and Kip...well I think it's pretty obvious what they did!!
Then we went home and Kip did laundry and I played with the pups!

New Years 2008
We definately enjoyed our evening! We had Kyle and Drea come over and they brought Drea's brother Cooper and sister Brett. This is Kip and I right after the New Year rang in! We are so excited can't you tell! We played it all laid back and in our sweats. It was fantastic!

It's funny
that I look at my blog on a daily basis wanting there to be a new post. Like it's just going to appear straight from my head onto the page for all to see. I guess it doesn't happen like that because everytime I look, I'm disapointed.
This Christmas season has been so fun. I really enjoyed this years holiday. Kip and I had a very laid back time. I actually got quite a bit of time off from work, and I am currently enjoying my last 4 day weekend before the new year starts up again. It's going to be hard to readjust to working 5 days a week.
I can't wait to post pictures of our holiday so you can see all the fun things that happened. We spent Christmas eve with the Phillip's family (That's my mom's side of the family) and then we spend Christmas morning at home alone with the pups, and then went to my parents' house for the rest of the day. We also saw National Treasure on Christmas day and that was very exciting. It's a great movie if there is anyone out there debating whether or not to go, DEFINATELY GO!
On a side note...I like to sleep in frigid temperatures. While Kip would enjoy sleeping everynight without sheets and have the house at eighty degrees. So on occasion (yes tonight is one of those occasions), I will "treat" myself to sleeping in the guest room. I slide the window all the way open and bundle up in my most cozy sweats, put all the down comforters we have on top of me and sleep like a little baby. Sounds blissful doesn't it? I know Kip is missing out. He's in our room sleeping warmly with the heat and the puppies. He's definately from Arizona. And maybe I'm crazy...but DreaDale gets me!
Please if anyone else has a website to share we'd love to keep in touch that way. I love posting on ours and showing everyone whats going on in our life! So hopefully if any of you have one, or are making one, please share the link with us so that we may enjoy your site as well!
Have a great New Year!!
